About Us
Helping Heroes Heal Through Yoga and Companionship
Vets and Pets Yoga is a nonprofit organization based in Arizona dedicated to supporting the healing and well-being of U.S. military veterans. We offer free yoga classes for veterans and their families, creating a welcoming space for connection, mindfulness, and recovery. Join our upcoming classes.
In addition, our Emotional Support Animal Pairing Program helps veterans find companionship and support through carefully matched rescue animals. By partnering with local Arizona animal rescues, we’re able to connect each approved applicant with the right animal for their lifestyle and needs. Learn more about our program.

Our Story
Angie Polynin, founder of Vets and Pets Yoga, was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis in her twenties and told she would likely be in a wheelchair by 35. Looking for relief, she turned to yoga and found a way to manage her pain and rebuild her strength, ultimately overcoming what seemed impossible.
After becoming a teacher, she saw the impact of yoga reach even further. Her fiancé, a combat veteran, experienced his own sense of healing by attending Angie’s classes. That shared experience sparked a bigger idea: how many others could benefit from the same support?
Today, Angie and her fiancé, Joseph, focus on making yoga accessible to those who need it most, especially veterans. Through Vets and Pets Yoga, they help create a welcoming community where anyone can find steadiness, connection, and a moment to breathe, no matter your background or experience.
